Initially unfamiliar with the nature of work at YTP, I remember browsing the website and being instantly fascinated by the engineering complexity showcased by each group. Despite initial hesitations about my own skill set, I chose this company with a dedicated focus on technical mastery and professional growth.
Question 3: What are the things you like about working here?
I appreciate the continuous learning opportunities, ranging from technical skills-up to Nihongo proficiency.I also truly value the supportive team culture, transforming even the most taxing challenges into rewarding team efforts.
Question 4: What does it mean for you to be a recipient of the Best Engineer award?
Receiving the Best Engineer award is a meaningful reminder that my efforts and hard work do not go unnoticed. This recognition proves that I was able to overcome the moments I felt lacking, and validates my commitment to showing up consistently and delivering results.
Question 5: Did you expect to receive this award?
I honestly did not expect to be awarded given my tenure and especially knowing how much skills I still have to learn and master. I am deeply humbled that my contributions are valued even as I continue to work on improving my skills and evolving as an engineer.

Looking back at my first day at YTP, this award resonated with me in a way that made me strive to receive it one day.
Question 7: How do you find your job?
My work is quite demanding, requiring rigorous critical thinking, a keen eye for detail, and the mastery of multiple specialized softwares. Beyond the technical complexities, navigating the work in Nihongo adds another layer of challenge. Overcoming these challenges every day has been a significant part of my growth here.
Question 8: What's next for you? What are your plans?
In my new role as a Senior Engineer, I plan to continue my growth to lead projects effectively and support my team, with a particular focus on mentoring our junior engineers.
Question 9: Share some thoughts with aspiring engineers who want to follow in your footsteps.
Be receptive to every bit of knowledge you can gain, and be equally generous in sharing what you know. Take full responsibility of the tasks assigned to you to ensure the best possible outcome. Most importantly, strive to deliver that excellence consistently.

改善(かいぜん): change for the better; continuous improvement
Question 11: If you could travel back in time, specifically on your first day of work here, what would you say to your younger self?
I’d say: trust that you're on the right path. The people you'll meet, knowledge you'll gain, and experiences you’ll have will transform you. Don’t give up when it feels overwhelming; the journey only becomes more rewarding from day one.
