Question 1: What are five words that best describe you?
Commitment, Conviction, Stoic, Persevering, and Practical.
Question 2: If you still remember, can you share the reason why you chose this company before?
A reason for choosing YTP as my first company was because of my interest in Japanese culture, rooted from my interest in Anime.
Question 3: What are the things you like about working here?
Something that I like about working in YTP is the friendliness of my colleagues. Aside from having similar interests, they are also quite approachable.
Question 4: What does it mean for you to be a recipient of the Best Engineer award?
For me, The Best Engineer Award serves not only as an acknowledgement for our efforts throughout the year, but also as a reminder to do better and serve as a guide for those coming after.
Question 5: Did you expect to receive this award?
Honestly, I was not expecting to receive the award seeing as how I am surrounded by my peers who are just as skilled.
Question 6: Looking back at your first day working at YTP, did this award cross your mind?
The award never crossed my mind when I first entered the company, as I was more focused on performing well to become a regular employee. But truthfully, looking back, at the time I wasn't aware of that there was such an award.
Question 7: How do you find your job?
I find it fairly fun.
Question 8: What's next for you? What are your plans?
I plan on continuing being a responsible member, instilling wisdom and inspiring the younger generations.
Question 9: Share some thoughts with aspiring engineers who want to follow in your footsteps.
Just do what you do best, in the best way that you can.
Question 10: Since you are working in a Japanese company, do you have any favorite Japanese words/phrases?
If I were to choose a word to be my favorite, it would be "otsukaresama desu" because this usually connotates to going home for the day. But jokes aside "otsukaresama desu" when translated, means "thank you for your hard work" just like I have jokingly said earlier it is usually exchanged when one is about to go home for the day, and hearing this being said to me just fills me with gratification for the efforts and work I have accomplished for the day. It may just be a simple gesture, but I would have to say it is one of my favorites.
Question 11: If you could travel back in time, specifically on your first day of work here, what would you say to your younger self?
"Stay calm, stand proud and be smart”.
