Question 1:What are five words that best describe you?

Efficient, Independent, Reliable, Steadfast, Responsible.

Question 2:If you still remember, can you share the reason why you chose this company before?

I wanted to work in a Japanese company, given that Japanese people is well known for their discipline.

Question 3:What are the things you like about working here?

It is the people I met here in the company that I like the most, especially those people I got close with. Knowing that there are people who got my back through ups and downs, give me comfort to push through my daily life.

Question 4:What does it mean for you to be a recipient of the Best Engineer award?

It means that all my efforts and late nights from the past have been acknowledge, it is nice to know that you were seen by your leaders as one that they can put their trust on.

Question 5:Did you expect to receive this award?

No, because in our group there a lot of people much more deserving of this award.

Question 6:Looking back at your first day working at YTP, did this award cross your mind?

I wanted to work in a Japanese company, given that Japanese people is well known for their discipline.

Question 7:How do you find your job?

It is both challenging and fun. Challenging since every bridge we deal with is a different one, it pushes the members to think outside of the box. Fun because we get to learn new things from our leaders and managers, especially when dealing with new bridge structures. And since Japanese lesson is a part of our job, I find learning a new language enjoyable too.

Question 8:What's next for you? What are your plans?

I’d like to obtain wider knowledge related to Bridges, and to be able to hone my Japanese language skills to effectively communicate with Japanese counterparts.

Question 9:Share some thoughts with aspiring engineers who want to follow in your footsteps.

Trust yourself and trust the process. Work smarter It is okay to be different from others. Walk your own pace, you’ll get to where you’re meant to be. No ride is a smooth one, challenges and hardships is normal as long as we don’t lose our way towards the goal we want to achieve.
